I started getting migraines in high school after getting braces. They were very infrequent at first, I would get about 5 days of migraines probably every 4 months. Something like that.
This escalated my junior year of college (4 years post braces removal). My jaw and head would start throbbing only on one side, and I would start shaking and nearly pass out. It started to interfere with work so I kept searching for possible causes of my migraines. I did see a doctor in high school and got a head scan and everything looked good so that was the end of that. This time I went to my dentist since I was able to trace the jaw and tooth pain the most.
Turns out my wisdom teeth were growing and the pressure along with not having room in my mouth for more teeth triggered migraines. The scans even showed a nerve along my mouth being affected by my wisdom teeth.
After removal I was migraine free up until this last month. It’s been over 3 years since my last real migraine attack and since the end of April I’ve had migraines everyday without fail.
I’m gonna try and see my dentist again since I do feel lingering jaw and teeth sensations while my migraine fades, but feel it’s very unlikely I have a new tooth growing.
I just want this to be over ðŸ«
