I'm 6 months into Aimovig and have had a really positive experience with it. My migraines are cut to about 1/4 of the frequency they were before (down from 18-22 days per month to about 4) and are more consistently responsive to my sumatriptan when I do get them. I feel like I have ownership of my life again.
I'm interested if you've been through this type of improvement before (or just thinking about it hypothetically) if you would continue to seek out something that got you closer to 100% or if you'd be satisfied. I am considering requesting a dosage increase in my Aimovig from 70 to 140 to see if I could get some further symptom reduction but have tolerated the 70 so well, I'm worried about switching things up after reaching a livable stasis.
Not planning to make decisions based on Reddit comments but I guess just looking to understand other folks' philosophies on balancing wanting to feel your best with the risk of rocking the boat.
100%! I really do feel immense relief and gratitude, and recognize I'm lucky to have improved this much.
I am so sorry to hear your treatments are losing some of their efficacy. I can imagine the frustration and grief of only being able to get to a 50% reduction in the first place and then losing some of the gains that were made.
Your perspective is valuable to me although I'm sorry you're in a position to give it.
Omg, the running and the wine - same. I recently rejoined a run group that I was a part of before my migraine frequency got to its worst. I am so happy that I feel like I can commit to things again.

The timing piece is a good point and even if I decide I want to pursue a dosage change, I'm inclined to follow that advice.
