I asked this on a general sub but feel this one may have some good input too.
So the place I work is on 2 regions in a cloud provider.
Let's call them Region A and Region B
They use microservices to have N tiers.
they are talking about setting up that any layer of the system can call its dependants on its own region or on a separate region as a form of resilience.
Is this quite common? I have questions about data consistency and complexity if deep down there is a service that calls multiple regions. Any docs to talk about this?
