Hey all. I have my photoperiod seedlings under an LED light and I measured they are getting about 200 PPFD, for 24hrs a day. I heard this was a good way to guide sprouting seedlings toward the light. They aren't leggy, they're a vibrant green, and growing nicely after about a week.
I am growing with living soil (Nectar for the Gods #4).
Kind of two questions here:
What is your marker to tell you that a photo (growing from seed) is now in veg?
When do you increase the intensity of light (I'm guessing based on answer to #1) and what PPFD should I raise it to during veg? Should I switch to 18/6 now that the seedling is above soil?
I see a lot of similar but conflicting info out there but wanted to get the opinion of some real growers and not a random article. Thanks!
