My support network and I discovered that microdosing feels a lot like taking prescribed adderall

Hi. I should start off by saying that I do not have ADHD, I have PMDD, autism, and SSRI resistant depression (which is most likely because of the PMDD and things like sensory overwhelm or burn out bc of the Autism)

update/clarification: I am not currently on an SSRI, I call myself SSRI resistant because I have been on like 5 drugs in the last 10 years that have not helped me much. However I do know some people who respond very well to SSRIs and I recommend taking EITHER path not both at the same time*

HOWEVER, my best friend has ADHD. Last night I took a .25g psilocybin capsule and I wasn’t sure if I was feeling it. I had heard somewhere that microdosing can feel like taking adderall for the first time when you really need it.

So I FaceTimed her and we talked for literally an hour and here are the similarities we found:

Non-sedated calming feeling

Increased alertness without feeling paranoid

A not high, high—which I have since been informed is just being in a good mood lmao

Decreased sensitively to noises and light, decreasing the likelihood of overwhelm/meltdown

Just wanted to share! This is not medical advice obviously. And not everyone with our conditions will feel the same. Talking to someone with a similar but also unique experience helped me discern my own feelings about mushrooms
