Two weeks of body aches and headaches after a microdose?

Hey, shroomers! Long-time reader, a first-time poster...so I decided to microdose some ground-up shrooms. The first time was about a few months ago and it was fantastic. I took about 150 mg (measured it out with a scale) and had several other great experiences.

However, the last few times I took an MD (never more than 300 mg) I noticed that my spine and my head were "lit up" like an electric current was running through them. So I took a ten-day break and came back and took 250 mg on a Saturday with not much to do.

The same thing happened, only this time it was almost debilitating. I was sweating, headache, my spine hurt, sensitive skin, and very very anxious. The next day I had the same symptoms--anxiety like you would not believe--and those symptoms lasted for most of the next two weeks. My body was in terrible pain but my brain seemed to have taken the effects of the mushrooms and processed it. It was...an odd experience to say the least and not altogether a pleasant one.

Any ideas what actually happened? I know I need to decrease my dose next time but I have not read anything about having body pain/spine issues/constant headache for two weeks after a microdose.

No, I did not have COVID or any other illness that I'm aware of. Yes, I was hydrated. Yes, I was conscious of my surroundings and my breathing. I do take an SSRI but it is my understanding that mushrooms compete for the same serotonin receptors as an SSRI and one of my medical friends suggested it could have been serotonin syndrome. I don't think that squares, though.

The best way to describe it is my spine and head were "activated" and "lit up" like an electric current ran through them. Almost like taking a stimulant or an SNRI. Buzzy-headed feeling but not in a cool way.

Any tips or thoughts on what might have happened are much appreciated! Thanks, y'all!
