So lately I’ve been really getting into modding Gameboys, and I got to thinking about how I could mod it even more.

Needless to say, I want to try and mod my GBA in such a way that I can use Bluetooth with it!

Now, by that, I mean I want to be able to pair a cheap pair of wireless earbuds/headphones to them if at all possible.

I’ve done a few quick searches on Google and haven’t actually found any posts or articles or videos on this specific mod. At least, not for the GBA. There was one video I found that had the exact mod I was looking for... but it was for the SP.

I’ve also heard and seen posts of people getting it to work on a DMG, but idk if that would translate well to the GBA or not.

I’m in no means an expert on electrical engineering or whatever, so i wanna do as much research as I can. I really wanna know if this could work and if it does, how much would this cost and is it a viable mod to do? Because while it might be cool, there’s no real purpose for this other than just not needing the headphone jack anymore.

I imagine it’s gonna take a while to figure it out, but I really want to undergo this project and take you through my journey to test this hypothesis out. Any and all help is appreciated if you feel like it and/or have the time! Besides, there may be information that I might have just overlooked, so if you find anything that’s fantastic!

What do you all think? Is this worth pursuing or no? And if so, would you all like updates along the way? I’d love to get a discussion going!
