My humor is quirky, dad-joke and pun-centric. I can be a bit dark, I can be a bit weird but it’s always with respect and I enjoy the reactions I get; the laugh, the groan or the eye roll.

I love to travel. I love road trips but I hate freeways.. the back roads are the best… if my destination is three hours away, I’ll gladly take eight hours to get there. The things you find along the way is what makes it an adventure. Taking my three dogs on a back road drive is something I also enjoy. I have gone camping twice and enjoy it but I do not have the supplies. I love the mountains and rolling hills. I enjoy going to parks and other public places to explore.

I love the water. I could spend a day at a beach just swimming and chilling. I have never fished but if you do, I will watch and learn. I want to go crabbing in the Chesapeake bay and boil my own seafood. I love sushi, but a good steak is always nice, as well. Are you a health nut? I will take advantage of that to get into better shape for you and Me. If you exercise I will join, but self motivation has been down since the split.. again, patience?

I enjoy color and design. Architecture, the way houses are designed (want to build my dream home with a lot of various tastes). I enjoy learning the history and etymology of words, as well as the source behind the reason things exist. The history of locations, as well.

I enjoy going to the theater, both film and Broadway.

I like NASCAR, but prefer to go to short track for live races. I like football on a Sunday afternoon. I watch WWE. I don’t focus much on any other sport unless it’s live, in which I will go watch just about anything. Except golf, sorry.. no thanks.

I sleep on my side, and I am told I am a soft snorer. I love to cuddle until the moment it’s time to sleep then I do enjoy a little space since I may toss and turn occasionally.

I can be a bit OCD and I like an organized and clean home, but I can get a bit lazy from time to time.

I do not smoke or do drugs and I just can not date anyone who smokes anything. Sorry. Edibles are okay if not a go-to for everything, every day. I do drink casually.

I am an Atheist. I respect religion for the most part, but only if I’m respected for my choices, too. I find that respect is very powerful in a good relationship no matter the level it is.

I do, however, love the idea of ghosts and spirits and get goosebumps in spooky places, will visit grave yards and ‘haunted houses’ without a second thought.

I try to not offend, nor am I easily offended, but I will stand up for myself against assholes. If you get easily offended or you misinterpret things quickly, we may not work well.

I have a firm, rooted belief that everyone should be able to be whom they are, live their life their way and not be subjugated to the wills of others… .except in certain ‘adult’ situations that are mutually desired.

This leads to sharing that I identify myself as moderate liberal and sadly over the past few years, voting choices have become as much as a deal breaker as anything else in a new relationship. It isn’t that you can’t be a republican but debates need to be civil, mature and adult.

Also, I believe in being open and direct, to not play mind games or expect the other to figure out what we mean. Flirting and teasing is wonderful, but if we want a new step to be taken, we should be comfortable and free to express that desire. I do NOT take subtle signals well. Want me, tackle me. It’s pretty simple.

I have a big heart, I will sniff at a sad commercial, I will pick up a stray dog and see to it that it is safe, I will open the door for you, I will listen to you cry if you need a shoulder mine is there. I will sometimes blab, I will sometimes sigh in frustration. I will burp. But to those I call friend or lover, I am loyal, honest, sincere and dedicated.

I am human and mistakes and misunderstandings should be worked through, not a blockade.

I am okay with LDR as flirty friends. I am okay if you have many friends and I am but one who is casually messaged. However, please.. don’t ghost me. Just say “not feeling it” and that’ll be that.

On adult matters, just know I am very open minded and vanilla is just one flavor I enjoy.
