Hi! First off I’m not Mexican, so forgive me if I use the wrong term or create food blasphemy.
I have celiac disease so I can’t eat any wheat/flour/gluten. So Mexican food has been a life saver.
I started making my own tamales because Masa/Lard/Meat/veggies/Spices are all 💯 gluten free. It’s fantastic.
I’ve started mixing and matching foods using tamale as a vehicle for other delicious fillings.
I put Tikki Masala in a tamale, Gumbo in a Tamale, Crab Rangoon in a tamale . My family loves these but calling them “tamales” just seems very wrong. Any suggestions on what to call them?
