I had the chance to play Blasphemous few months ago, way after it was first released. It quickly became one of my all time favorite metroidvania (and game). What I also really liked was that I had the full experience. Every DLC were already released, NG , etc. I had almost 50 hours of content.
I have Blasphemous 2 in my wishlist for about a year now, but I keep postponing on buying it, since last time I heard, they haven't released a single DLC yet.
Have they planned anything regarding NG or DLCs? Or they abandoned this idea for the first game?

Granted, the way Blasphemous implemented its third ending was particularly stupid.
"Hey returning player who's probably proved their skill at least once (if not more with the DLC), there's this new content in the game. I see you're sitting on a completed save file. You can go fight this new super boss. You can go through this bullshit area at the end of which there's a different boss. Or you can go through this other path only for an NPC to tell you to fuck yourself in a way that cryptically suggests you need to start a new run. Of course we aren't saving your progress there."
"Hey new players. Here, you can stumble into the questline for the new ending entirely on accident. This step will lock you out of one of the most memorable fights in the game. You're free to do this quest now. Unless you do a very specific order of actions, you will miss out on the second ending without which you have less emotional content on the quest."
"Btw, both of you, this quest has a separate failpoint at its end. We are not going to hint at it in-game, your efforts are simply for naught if you didn't prioritise it in our non-linear game. Kbye."
