Aiming mechanics suck or just me?

Ok, I like this game but the movement/aiming mechanics seem so good awful and clunky it's almost impossible to play in my opinion. It's super super super slow vertical aiming is horrible...is it just me?
P.S. I have sensitivity up to Max with aim assist and border off. I'm on Xbox one x.
