Can somebody tell me why ??

So when I got this stuff on the weekend it had nice clear and good looking crackback and smoke alright After crushing the rocks up abit and half way through the bag, it started looking like this and not smoking as good ? I switched pipes because I lent one to my friends but I didn’t think the pipe alone would change the crackback and alter the smoking and its effects lol?
