I think I've managed to do this effectively maybe one time out of . . . several attempts, at least. Maybe I'm going too far? Not far enough? I know the advised depth of insertion in numbers but it's hard to translate this to practical application.

Do I want x centimeters of the syringe to be beyond the outermost part of the sphincter? Or past the most inner part?

Is it more likely that I'm overshooting the venous region, or that I'm not going in far enough and I'm losing it?

Can I use a gelatinous water-based solvent?

Has anyone ever just put a gel cap in there, maybe added some water after it?

I am using an enema as needed, but are there any important notes or caveats there?

Some of you maniacs say you like to just shove a shard in, but I've tried this; it was questionably effective and undeniably burny.
