Maybe I just never noticed till now but idk

So I juss crushed up that 2.6 g shard. And maybe I never noticed before till now but I kind that kinda crazy to not totice. But when I crushed that fucker It had a smell to it. No like a crazy smell definitely chemically kinda. But it was a strong smell and I don't recall the past 7 years ever my shard having a smell immidiatly after crushing it. And it was definitely a noticable thing. So I juss gotta ask if any y'all know what I'm talking bout or if it's normal and I juss never noticed
