How to dry out a shard???

Dropped my crystal onto something and it has picked up residue. Could be water or coconut oil (lol don’t ask). But we are talking microscopic as I didn’t see water where I dropped it. Anyhow the shard has a slight glaze on the top of it, it isnt soaked by any means. I have left it out to air dry in my cupboard and I’m hoping that drys it out. Any recommendations on how I speed up the process ? My thinking is that water would eventually just evaporate but if it’s cooking oil, that will surely just stay there until it eats away at the shard as oil don’t evap lol
