Items needed: - 99% isopropanol - COSORI digital temp control coffee warmer or digital hotplate - acs anhydrous acetone (cold) - mason jars with button lids meant for pressure canning - transfer pipettes

1. Chill anhydrous acetone and anhydrous/99% isopropanol to 0C
2. Set up filter flask with vacuum, with correct filter paper size
3. Wet filter with a few mL of acetone or water to have it adhere to the funnel via vacuum
4. Place FINELY crushed meth into filter funnel
5. Pour chilled acetone over, and run vacuum until filter material is dry
6. Disconnect base and transfer acetone to an HDPE container (#2 plastic I believe) or glass mason jar. It will be disposed at the end, it's just to see if any odd colors were washed out. CAUTION: ACETONE WILL DISSOLVE THE LINING OF THE MASON JAR. JUST DISPOSE DIRECTLY.
7. Reconnect base after all acetone has been emptied out
8. Turn on vacuum again and pour COLD anhydrous isopropanol over meth and let vac run until dry. Dispose isopropanol.
9. Collect into a 4oz mason jar, and add 99% isopropanol to the jar, leaving about an inch of space at the top
10. Seal mason jar tightly (optionally use high density PTFE tape - usually used in bathrooms/sinks)
11. Place mason jar on cosori amazon mug heater and set to 60-80C (recommended 65, and increase by 5C until 75-80C)
12. Press the cap button occasionally to check internal pressure. Some pressure is actually good as it forces more of the dissolution of actives into the liquid. You may also open it slightly to relieve pressure but it can absolutely stay at 75C overnight sealed no problem
13. After heated and shaken in-jar to 75C or so, let it settle on the still-turned-on heating element for a few minutes for solids to fall
14. Open the jar and use the glass pipette to siphon off the surface isopropanol. Usually easiest to suction from the sides of the jar
15. QUICKLY empty the pipette into a clean 4oz mason jar
16. Continue until you have about 1-2mm of iso above the meth left in the first jar, Avoid accidentally pipetting solids.
17. Add more anhydrous iso (can be room temp) to first jar
18. Repeat Steps 10-17 until the jar in 15 is full. Seal jar. This contains your first "pull" of supersaturated isopropanol. Based on the later steps, determine if additional pulls are needed, or observe original jar after heating to 75C on the cosori element, and letting it cool, still sealed. If you see spiky things, you can do another pull.
19. You can leave the supersaturated jar(s) sealed, at room temp, for 24-48hrs to observe any crashout.
20. IF crashout forms, decant the room temp isopropanol to a fresh jar and set aside if not full.
21. Let jar containing crashout small amounts of leftover isopropanol that couldn't be decanted by leaving the lid unsealed and letting it dry.
22. Continue to transfer the post-rt-crashout isopropanol to additional jars, leaving 1" of space at the top and continue moving to fridge. You should see more crashout in 24 hours or less.
23. After 24-48hrs, move jars to freezer to fully crash out all the ice
24. Depending on whether the ice stuck to the walls, you can pipette or decant the isopropanol and save as "seed liquid" for next time. You can use that seed liquid to promote crystallization in freezer. Then dry jar similar to step 21.
25. Finally all freezer cold isopropanol that is no longer crashing out can be reused to extract the first jar

Optional  1. Optional, for aesthetic purposes only: acquire 95-99% grain alcohol either online from eBay or laballey (site can be found through Googile) or in store as everclear if available  2. Put in a clean mason jar and warm to 60-80c on the display. 3. Add hot ethanol to the crystallized meth dropwise until majority has dissolved 4. Leave jar lightly covered, or on extremely low heat to speed up solvent evaporation 5. You'd then get a few solid chunks once dry 6. The isopropanol, even heated to 75C, will leave all organic material and other insolubles at the bottom 7. Once dry, weigh it and record change in product mass.
