I guess I'll remind ppl who I am since I'm more well known in r/Addictedtotheneedle .
I'm a former IV meth user who is very knowledgeable on psychology, harm reduction and addiction. Actually, it's going to be my whole career and has been my path in school. I deleted all my posts, so I guess you'll just have to take my word for it. But I'm trained to handle crisis just the same as a hotline operator ( https://www.crisistextline.org/ ). I am very nonjudgmental and yeah.
So I can answer any of your science or harm reduction questions. How do drugs work, why do we get addicted, how can we combat addiction, what are the risks of drug use and how likely are they, does it ever get better, etc. If you need to vent or get something off your chest, I can just listen too. Honestly, I don't really care if you quit. I mean, I wish everyone could be happy and health without drugs and drugs didn't have any risks, don't get me wrong. But it's not really up to me if you want to get sober or not, or how you feel about all that. So wherever you're at and wherever you want to be, I'm just here to meet you where you're at and offer what I can.
If you're feeling suicidal, I would rather you keep things in the comment section here out in the public, but we can chat as long as you'd like. Honestly, to anyone who feels comfortable talking in public it's probably better, but my DMs are always open.
We can also come up with plans to reduce or discontinue usage. We can come up with plans to prevent relapse and deal with cravings. We can also create plans to deal with heavy emotions and suicidality (or just sadness). And like I said, if you need to vent, that's fine too. Just let me know if there's anything I can do to lighten your load, make you feel seen/heard/understood, or whatever else would make you feel better today.
For anyone curious, I've just been dealing with too much negativity recently. No offense, but some people (here more than anywhere else TBH) try to drag me down with them. Like I said, I don't care if you're at a place where you feel you need to do that for whatever reason (usually to rationalize not wanting to get sober). It's just starting to affect me, so I need to step away so I can be fully present and do no harm.
I'm still gonna be running r/cocaineforladiesonly (meth users, you're very welcome there too if ur not a man and u want to have clean and friendly chats with other non-masculine stimulant users. Soon I will hbahaveve r/stopshooting up and runnig and you are welcome there too if you want harm reduction, support, addiction help, resource whatever. The point is just tvideo of someone slamming a thick gooey shot or getting blasted.
I also started moderating a non-drug Subreddit that I really like (u can snoop around on ur own, I don't want to brag or get into it, but I'm happy about it). I like their message and I think they can do a lot of good in their own way. I(m learning python right now (in one night) top make abot over there. IDK I don't wanna fuck that up, I always do. So I just need to really get back to feeling and acting my best. Maybe i'll a always feel this bad if I never try. And so will you, so give it a host.
