So had some new neighbors buy a house right next door. Kind, quiet, retiree couple who are from Nicaragua or something.

Anyway they purchased a real fixer upper and do construction every damn day right next door. You cannot escape the debilitating sound of a buzz saw going off what seems like 100 times an hour or some other tool. They do this right in front of their porch which is next to my garage and kitchen window — only separated by a privacy fence that’s mostly effective.

Now I usually don’t partake but found some time off work and some spare funds I used towards a ball. Naturally I figured I would do this right in the garage because why the fuck not? I’m not gonna stink up my house and I had already been sneaking around for most of the week anyway. I’m as quiet as can be — the garage door is shut 90% closed with a tiny gap at the bottom. I’d say things had been pretty much fine until I started to smoke exclusively in the garage starting yesterday morning and going into today.

I started to notice the buzzsaw going off way less frequently than it had been going off before.. and it got eerily more quiet than it had been the last few weeks. Maybe I’m just noticing it more now and they’ve probably made the same level of noise this entire time? I kid you not the only noise they could possibly hear from me is the tiny “click” that happens when I light. Smell is a completely different object..

I also have another set of neighbors that live on the other side of me that had been playing music right around the time I was blowing some big clouds, let’s say 12 noon. I had never heard my street this quiet before. For a whole hour the neighbors only had the buzzsaw go off one time. Then the other neighbors stopped playing their music and I couldn’t hear them anymore.

So what do y’all think? Do they both know?
