arm numb- new to slamming

i’m not very experienced with needles. i’ve attempted in the past but couldn’t hit a vein (mine are really hard to see). anyway, today when i drew back i didn’t see any blood, so i stated to remove the syringe. when i started removing it slowly, it started filling up with blood. i injected from that point.

10 min later idk if i hit the vein or not. my arm is slightly sore and numb. my heart is beating really fast but idk if it’s from the drug or bc im nervous. how do you know if you missed??

sorry i sound like a dumbass. i’m very new to IV. i’m familiar with every other ROA other than hotrailing (only done that once).
