Smell?

Roommate sleeps with his bedroom door slightly cracked while I partake in the restroom besides his room. I turn the vent on but I’m worried he can still smell it. Am I just paranoid? He’d have no idea what it smells like so I imagine without that reference point he can’t jump to conclusions. I’m probably in my head about this after hearing him cough at like 2am earlier.
