Hey guys I've been injecting methamphetamine on and off for a couple years I usually do it for a week or two at a time and then quit but I had a one round for a month or so and I have developed scar tissue around the easy to hit veins in my inner elbow area.

I've moved on to my wrist and lower forearm and have some success but when I'm wondering is a few technique issues I think I don't know properly.

If I'm in the forearm I figure I should be going at a ankle closer to 45 or higher to hit the vein well if I use closer to the wrist that the angle should be much slower like 15 to 25?

One thing I've noticed is I rarely aspirate my drug shots because I terrible holding the syringe and doing that while keeping it steady but I've noticed that normally if I hit a vein I see blood enter the syringe regardless. Typically I leave a small half CC gap but at the very end with syringe on the needle and to allow room for the blood to go in but I'm not sure this is actually necessary Is this small gap required or actually detrimental or does it not matter? Once I see blood fill in and if I continue to see it fill in I normally just go ahead and start pushing the plunger and it's usually worked out fine if I begin to feel pain I immediately stop and then usually the plunger is low enough that it becomes easier to aspirate or the very least I try to even if you're not supposed to take the media out partially never fully out of my skin and just realign at a different angle and re-enter and this has helped also. I believe this is called fishing and I know it is not recommended but at the very least I never actually take the needle all the way out I usually pull it out as much as I can and then gently turn it or change the angle and reenter.

Also how important is the speed enforce of injecting the needle into the skin I'm pretty hesitant because the pain and I tend to push slowly and it takes me a while until I break the skin I've heard that this can cause the vein to roll and that you really just kind of want to slam it in but I'm always getting nervous.

Also where is the best place to hit if you've used most of your inner elbow area I can still feel what I think our veins in the middle but I'm just not sure I truly only have scar tissue on the outer vein of both arms in the mid-arm near the elbow on the inner side I've barely use the actual center vein but I feel like I can see it the blue but it's hard to feel.

Tl;dr: I'm l drinking the best veins to hit that are not on my outer inner elbow area, I also am trying to find the best angle of entry for veins that are on the wrist area or mid forearm, I also want to know if it's mportant it is to inject the needle quickly and with force versus slowly and care, and I also want to know if I should leave a small gap of space between the fluid and that needle end of the syringe so that blood can automatically aspirate when I enter a vein.
