My roommates cat keeps scaring me

She is crazy and anytime they shut their door she goes into a meowing fit. And then she starts jumping up against the wall that separates our rooms and it scares the fuck out of me and I jump every time. I have never heard a cat act like this before and good lord, her meow is so damn loud, to the point that it’s flat out annoying. Usually cat noises do not bother me at all.
