Something I’m curious about regarding this issue with the HD and Master collection versions of MGS2 (details in body text):
Post Body

Left column is PS2, and right column is the HD edition

In the HD and Master collection versions of MGS2 (and MGS3 if the fixed camera setting is on), the field of vision for certain areas in the game is cropped to fit within the 16:9 aspect ratio of the remaster without having the camera go out of bounds.

Out of curiosity, was this something you knew about with the remaster beforehand? And if so, do you feel that it’s something that’s impacted the gameplay for you to a significant degree when compared to the 4:3 aspect ratio of the PS2 version (particular in harder difficulties where you don’t have a Soliton radar)?
