Metal Gear Solid for PS1 would be better as a one off!

Metal Gear Solid for ps1 is one of those games that are one in a million.
And back in the day before the series continued I think is better.
Everything got resolved no matter what ending you got and the sequels just water down how good the ps1 version was and opinions on this?
