Post Body

Hey everyone. First and foremost I want to state I’ve watched a few YouTube videos, I was pretty sure I had my xterra setup right but not sure.

Anyways I finally went to the beach to hunt for the first time. I had it on beach mode 1 and I was doing nice wide sweeps trying to keep it within 2” of dry sand. The detector would go off and I would dig and dig and never found anything. It’s actuallly embarrassing. Not even a soda can tab. I looked for an hour and despite all the signals I came up empty handed. I must have screwed up a setting or the sensitivity is off. I’m really out of my zone on this. I appreciate any advice. Also when I get near the water is it truly that imperative to switch it to beach mode two? Or will beach mode 1 still be adequate? The reason I ask is I hear wet sand or water with option 2.
