I'm completely new to peyote, any help?

I am very interested in getting some peyote but everything I read about and all of the terminology confuses the shit out of me and the only way to decipher it is by skimming through multiple wiki articles which I really don't want to do. can someone give me a relatively easy to understand guide about like what the differences between the main kinds of peyote out there and maybe a quick rundown on what effects they could have?
