Mercedes e320 Ac issue

I have a 04 Mercedes e320 , a couple months ago I had the AC blowing hot air on the drivers side but it was ice cold on the passenger side. I took it to the a AC mechanic he said there was no freon and he refilled it and have also checked for any leaks,there wasn’t any. The cars AC ran cold for 2 months and now the similar issue has returned where the AC blows cold on the passenger side and Driver side is hot. What do you guys suggest ? I am located in SoCal and heat is pretty bad.
