Hey guys so I have a 2017 c43 AMG. I was using my sunroof yesterday for a couple of hours and when I got to my destination I shut it. When I went to re open the top after leaving the car for a couple hours i noticed that the cars roof seemed to be getting stuck so i pulled over. The picture you see above is the verdict. I was able to close the roof using the controls on the ceiling. So it sits flush so I don’t have to worry about it in the immediate future. But when I try to open that’s the state of it. I talked to a Mercedes benz tech/advisor and he stated it would probably be around 4-5k to replace the whole system. He says it’s due to the rail being broken and when one side is the whole system gets thrown off. Does anybody have any insight? 4-5k is just too much to wrap my head around to fix the sun roof so for now it’s a moon roof. P.S the screen shade still is fully functional.
