Any Advice for getting a Diagnosis for Adhd/other mental illness?

TLDR: (I need advice on how to consult my doctor because I think I may be struggling with undiagnosed adhd) Hi all, I'm a 22 y/o male and I've been struggling with on and off depression since my early teens. These days I'm finally on medication for my chronic depression and anxiety which has helped to an extent, but I feel like it doesn't get to the root of my problems. I'm struggling to fix bad habits and improve my life to a place that I can be happy with. This is because I feel I can't ever focus and finish what I'm doing unless I have tons of outside pressure and deadlines to force me to do it. I used to struggle a lot with behavior when I was in elementary school and I've been an incredibly figity person my whole life. And despite being a good reader when I find something super interesting, I have a very hard time focusing on reading unless I'm absolutely obsessed with the book. I feel like I should consult my doctor about my symptoms, but I feel weird about trying to get a diagnosis as an adult. Thanks in advance for any help you are willing to share.
