What should I do about these shifts between extremes?

I go from lonely, empty and nothing to do, to being overstimulated and having too much to do. It's usually one or the other. When I feel lonely, I try speaking / reaching out, and either I get too many people speaking to me which makes me feel overwhelmed, or I don't get many responses (or none) and I end up feeling more empty than before.

When I'm alone and bored - which is pretty often - I try to do productive things with my time (or entertainment) and that does help for a while. But eventually it just feels like a chore and I drop it. And then feel empty. For hours. The process repeats itself a few times a week at the very least. And often times trying to find someone to speak to also feels like a chore. I don't vibe with most people, so that doesn't help.

Advice? This stuff has a drastic effect on my mental health, and I want to do something about it rather than just scroll mindlessly on media trying to fill the void within.
