Anti-depressants vs ADHD medication

Hello!

I'll start off by giving you a little background of myself: I'm a 30 year old male that suffers from a seizure disorder, depression, and ADHD. I was prescribed Ritalin in kindergarten and took it all the way up till 9th grade. The seizures started at 19 as did the depression. I was baker acted and went to a therapist and he also said bi-polar as well but I've never really pursued that.

On to my problem. I decided to take the plunge into anti-depressants (escitalopram) a few years ago and found they really helped. As of late they don't seem too as much. Over Covid my girlfriend did some research on ADHD and said maybe I should investigate either switching too or adding an adhd medication.

It's been really hard lately. I've been crashing hard emotionally and then am fine a few minutes later, my thoughts are completely scattered, I can't focus, I feel like I'm temperamental, grinding my teeth, and a million other things.

When I first had my seizures I asked to be put on adhd medication but my neurologist said since my seizure disorder can't be nailed down she didn't want to risk putting me on amphetamines to agitate the condition.

My question for the group is does anyone have any similar experiences with adding adhd medication to anti depressants? Does it help?

Edit: object permanence and completely spacing out are big things as well that I'm struggling with.
