Protests in home country
Post Body

I'm a Bolivian expat in the US and I must say the events unfolding have greatly affected my mental health. First I became addicted to all types of social media because the situation was rapidly evolving for a month and I feared for my loved ones. On the worst days I couldn't sleep and was calling my parents several times a day. The fact that I was not there and that I couldn't help, the fear that I still have for violence to scalate, the mixed media coverage it got, and the uncertainty of what holds for my country have created this mix of feelings I do not know how to cope with. When I saw my people fighting for their rights everything else seemed pointless. I'm rapping up my masters and I cannot focus, I also lost my appetite and now as the situation has calmed down I can't stop thinking about the people in all those other countries fighting for their own rights.
