Ok, so I'm new to reddit, and I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but if not, but...
ANYHOO...
So... I have a blog, which I've been writing on, which is dedicated to sharing mental health experiences, as both a professional and my personal ones. I've worked in mental health for nearly 20 years now, and sadly i can say, we are no closer to reducing the stigma now, than we were when i first started. The idea, when i started was to produce a community of bloggers, blogging about mental health, their experiences, in whichever capacity, so people can see its not something that should be avoided, that it should be talked about more, that the stigma surrounding in should be reduced etc. which was how the blog started, with a few people writing once a week etc, so there was content there.
It's dropped off a bit in the last year, I guess we've all been busy with life etc, it happens, but I'm wanting to revive the site, with as many people writing about their experiences with mental health as possible, so there is a constant stream of input, writing, experiences etc and so the blog kinda runs itself without any massive need for much input from any one person with the exception of perhaps me (obviously i need to be doing all the back scene admin etc)
SO the reason i'm writing this here is, to look for new writers interesting in making such a community blog work, the more writers we get, the better we can make it, and the more we can do to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.
If anyone would be interested in helping with this project, please feel free to contact on here or via twitter (my twitter is on my profile)
Regards
Tam
