I know this might sound strange, but for me depression feels oddly comforting.
It's like sinking into a familiar, dark place where there's no pressure to be happy or even to try. There's a kind of safety in the numbness, as if you're wrapped up in it and shielded from the overwhelming demands of life.
It lets you stay stagnant without the constant push to "do better." Sure, itโs not healthy, but the lack of expectations can feel like a break from the constant hustle and noise.
Itโs like being in a bubble where nothing really matters, and in a weird way, that can feel comforting.
Also it just is a known place for me, I've been there for so long that it just is the only thing i know.
