Alright, so I'm going to try to describe this problem the best I can. So bear with me if any of this is unclear.
As a menstruating, biological woman, I prefer pads. Always have, always will. I can always feel things like tampons and cups, and they hurt. And I've looked into period panties, and I have no interest whatsoever in any of them.
So undies and pads it is. But I have yet to find a brand of pads that isn't too narrow for my undies. It's not the size of my underwear that's the issue. It's the style I wear. I need more rear coverage, so the style I wear has a significantly wider gusset (crotch?) than most styles. No other style is comfortable, so I have to wear the ones chose, unfortunately.
But because of this, the sides of the pad don't align with the sides of the fabric, and the wings end up flat inside the gusset instead of folded around the back. Or the very edge of one wing will be just barely around the back, while the other is flat against the inside again. I try my best to place the pad just right and pull the fabric into just the right place, but it never works. Thankfully, I don't end up with leaks too often, but the discrepancy makes it a royal pain in the ass every time I put on a pad.
I have tried Always Infinity, Always Ultra Thins, and Stayfree. Always pads are the worst about it, while Stayfree pads are marginally better, but not by much. The only reason I really prefer Stayfree is because the extra adhesive prevents the dreaded "pad thong" fiasco, where it gets bunched up in the back.
Anyway, I hope I'm making sense. It's not that I need a longer pad or a pad for heavier flows. Leaks aren't the issue. And I can't change the style of underwear I wear or the menstrual protection I'm using. It's gotta be pads. It's that pads in general are never wide enough to properly fit my underwear.
Can anyone recommend a better brand?
