I just got it in for the first time. Insertion is quite painful, but it was that way for tampons too. (Sneaking suspicion I have vaginismus or something, but not confirmed.) Now that it's in though, it's ok. I ran my finger around and it was opened all the way, ( suctioned I'm pretty sure) but i'm still not 100% sure it feels right. It also was kind of crooked i think, but i think it was like that the two times i used tampons correctly too. I think maybe my cervix is just tilted who knows. Anyway, do I just look out for bleeding and any weird feelings then? I don't know what to do now, I didn't think I would make it this far lol.
Also, to the person who commented about only being able to insert it laying down, thank you. The only way I was able to insert it, at least this time, way laying down. That has helped me immensely.
