I’m so happy right now. I think this is my 5th cycle with my cup. I’ve always had some trouble with opening my cup or it would squash flat when I moved around a lot. Yesterday my period came round and I was actually contemplating just using a pad. I put one on because I didn’t have time to get my cup as I was in a class, and then after an hour I couldn’t stand the wet feeling. I sucked it up and after class I went after my cup to put it in. When putting it in I had a realization. There was a ‘pit’ when I put my finger in far enough to make sure it was sealed. I used my index finger and pressed a little on the pit area and the cup popped open! Mind blown. I guess it’s the area just before my cervix. I tried it again just now when changing my cup and I relocated the pit. I pressed down and the cup indeed opened and secured itself! I didn’t feel a thing, I’m so shook right now. I knew using a cup would get me friendly with my vagina but damn, I’m learning so much about myself down there! Cliche, but I have no regrets. I’m glad to get to know my anatomy and I can’t wait to try out other types of cups, maybe even a disk in future. I’m so excited , I feel weird about it lol. I can’t wait to spread the cup gospel to my little sister when she gets her first period in a couple years. I’ll help her every step of the way because this is just amazing.
