As I’ve posted here before, I only used my cup for a day and a half my first cycle and didn’t even sleep with it because my flow was too light. My period came on Friday and I excitedly reached for my cup. I got it in in a few seconds but it kept poking me. I trimmed the stem but was still getting poked. Finally I took the plunge and chopped it all off. I felt nothing at all. I slept with it in and no leaks. No leaks all day. I’m wearing my favorite white pants and I’m not even worried. I would’ve never guessed that I’d have to trim my whole stem off. When I measured my cervix I thought it was average height but my fingers are short so maybe it came across that way. Turns out it’s pretty low so that made things a whole world easier. I didn’t have to worry about losing my cup in there as it was right at my entrance. I also learnt that removal was way easier from the front and not the back like I used to do. It also made getting the cup in easier. I’m so happy now. I don’t feel gross on my period anymore and I’m not sweaty and itchy from pads. Even though menstrual cups just barely started to introduce themselves here, I’m willing to share the cup gospel to all my friends because this is just amazing. It feels like a fun little secret. I just proudly put my lovely cup away after it’s monthly shift to wait till the next month. Thankfully my period came the week before my vacation and it’s done now so I’m all clear for the beach! Thank you to this sub for helping me, it’s very informative. Love you guys!! 💜
