Today was my first day using my cup. It worked well for a few hours but when I changed it to put it back in I was having difficulty which didn’t happen before. I used the punch down fold which I usually used but it didn’t go in. I tried different folds but it hurt to get in still. I realized that the squishy bump above my vagina was a little swollen? Idk, it felt larger than usual. Maybe my urethra? Idk... but it made inserting the cup tough. When I got it in, it hurt a ton because it refused to open and was flat even though I tried adjusting it. After a few more tries I got the cup in but it wouldn’t adjust itself and the stem kept poking me even though it didn’t before, so I readjusted it and encountered another problem. I felt the cup a lot especially while walking. I’d get a sharp pain like if the cup was touching something it wasn’t supposed osed to and I had to remove it immediately. When my cup is in, it goes far to the left for some reason. I’d look for my cervix (that gets squishy during menstruation right?) and I found it in the same place as it was earlier when the cup wasn’t causing an issue. I felt funny for a while down there maybe because I kept fiddling with the cup so I’m taking a break tonight and sleeping with my pad instead to ease things up. Even though the second day of my cycle just started my flow is super light so maybe insertion hurt because things were dry. But anyway, what am I doing wrong? What caused all that pain when it was inside when it didn’t before?
