I work a job that requires me to be on my feet all day and my place of work has this weird flooring that is really slippery in most types of shoes. I have used three different types of boots (HiTec, Karrimor, Softshell), two different trainers (Vans, Umbro) and only the Umbro is not slippery on the floor when it is both dry and wet.
I have no idea what type of floor it is, but I will describe it as best as I can:
- It looks like it's been poured, not placed.
- It's got like a laminated shine(?) to it.
I have searched online and a lot of the places say the same thing, "sand your shoes" (doesn't make sense cause wouldn't it be more slippery?), "Use hairspray on your shoes" (no can do, can't have aerosol type stuff within the workplace as it's a hazard), etc.
So what the hell do I do? I can't really spend much more money on more shoes, I've asked coworkers and they are using their old shoes which seem to work well.
