What is the point of this

Why is this an option? I understand Mr. John Menard is very America core but why is the first one job security? Is this a threat?

Seems shady and pointless. If it does nothing for your job, why spend the time on it? It also requires you use your own internet or data plan to access it. There is no way to verify that the person doing it is the actual employee. This seems like something they should be setting aside time for employees to access at work. Most of us have enough to do at home without having to worry about “optional” training. Especially for a t-shirt.
