From what I'm seeing I'll need to just suck up the costs and stay in an Extended Stay (So the worst of both Tiny & Expensive). I'm moving into town (Me, Wife, Two Babies) to live near family and look for work. I've got unemployment through the end of the year and money enough to pay several months in advance wherever I land... but nobody in Memphis seems willing to rent to folks without a job yet. Even if they have money coming in and regardless of your credit / rental history. Am I just missing something as an outsider?
I'm not being picky, I just must not know how to find rentals anymore. I'd sign for a year in a large enough place, but I'm even willing to pay the full lease for a short term in a smaller place if I could get somewhere reasonably priced (All the small $300-500 places I've found only do year leases). It's like, I'll either make what I'm making on unemployment, or More when I get work. There's not really any risk for the rentee. O.o
Anyone here got any leads?
