I wanted to find out from everyone on how they handle their anxiety, or depression (or other mental health issues) whilst in a workplace, or in a team. Corporate, or retail, or blue collar. How do you deal with it? How open are you with your manager?
For me, I've wanted to make sure I can at least talk to my manager about things (he doesn't know specifics). I've been self aware enough to know certain triggers; and when I'm feeling it approaching, or feeling like I need a breather, I can generally let him know why, and that I'm working on making sure it doesn't affect the team, or anything. Its so difficult though, it is because then I feel 'guilty' and then thinking I'm a burden on the team. But... flip side, my anxiety makes me so much more driven you know? My work ethic is of a high standard, so I know I'm delivering there.
Very curious to see how everyone else handles their working life and working on their mental health!
