What does everyone think about instead of privatising key state assets, the Victorian Government levied a charge that directly funded the new infrastructure projects we need to build? Iā€™m not sure by which method the state government could do this though, maybe by charging it on payroll or as a percentage/ fixed amount on utility bills? Alternately maybe a percentage increase in VicRoads rego and PTV fares (though I presume PT in Victoria is already significantly subsidised).
