Just wondering what the work load is like these days and if it's realistic for a 31 year old to obtain an apprenticeship. Amongst you legit chippies, is there enough work around and do you think the outlook for the industry is strong?
I'm organising to do a pre-apprenticeship early next year, have gotten my white card and am looking at some labouring opportunities as a way to get my foot in the door. Also joined the local woodworkers guild in my area to get familiar with some of the tools.
What do you guys love / hate about the work? Most comfortable brand of work boot?
Cheers
