Hi guys Just seeing if anyone has been in the same shoes in terms of purchasing a house with solar panels which are in the date range of the high feed in tariff of 63cents a k/w,
Red energy denied me this right and even looked at previous owners report and no solar was ever credited. Which means a back charge of about 30k would have been pending.
Now I called the ombudsman of Melbourne’s energy and he told me that it was a choice to choose the rebate or not.
Why in earth would someone install $18k worth of solar to then have it feed into the grid for no return.
Has anyone had this happen? Unfortunately I can’t get onto the previous owner anymore I wish to track down there siblings. I think they have washed there hands of it. But I the owner would like to get the rebate what’s left.
