Anyone else has into the city tonight for the 930 fireworks and was greatly disappointed?
There were several spots around town but we chose docklands. Firstly I thought there would be much more entertainment around the docklands area but there was about 6 food vans and some TERRIBLE music being performed. The fireworks lasted 5 minutes and were not very exciting at all... some big ones but was pretty low key. Getting out of there was a mess too. Understandably foot traffic was busy but the trains at southern cross station.... we were jumping in the Cranbourne/Pakenham line and the train that turned up at 1005pm was already jam packed so we had to wait for the next train.. well.. next train was then scheduled to turn up 42 minutes later. 😲😲. How can this be? On new years eve? Anyone else not have a fantastic experience too?
