Why would restaurants charge more in store than through delivery services?

Post Body

I feel like my whole world is upside down now. Twice this week I've gone to a restaurant instead of getting Menulog or Deliveroo or whatever. Confident that I'm making the right choice by staying active and taking my bike there, and saving money because the prices are always cheaper in store.

Twice now I've been misled. I thought delivery services are where the shenanigan pricing is with more expensive products, and random 'service fees' on top. But I went to grab some Korean chicken and everything was a few dollars more than the price online, and that's including the service fee! And just now I've gone and grabbed a kebab with the exact same situation.

What is this madness, have I been an out of touch curmudgeon all these years thinking that restaurants jack up their prices if you order through online services? If I wasn't a cripplingly socially awkward loser I could have said no when I saw the price, ordered a pick up on my phone right there at the counter, and saved a few bucks.
