Do you live/own/rent a 2-bdr, sub 500K apartment somewhere central? Do you love it?

So according to a couple of other sub Reddits, 2-bdr apartments around central Melbourne that cost less than 500K are all total garbage and you should stay away at all costs. Main problems seem to be leaking and low quality fittings. Curious to hear from people living in an apartment like this that love it. I am sure there are issues for many, but can it really be that bad?
