I've posted before on this, and I'm making an update. When purchasing food with my link card, I always get an extra 1 to 6 cents charge. No one working there has been able to give me a clear answer as to why, or even the same answer. Nobody knows above the "idk company policy". Which policy? Be specific. Others have said sales tax. Or what they would have gotten as sales tax on coupons you used (which is probably the dumbest response bc what)
All food purchased with the link card is TAX FREE. It's state money, they're not going to tax themselves.
I've also tried not entering mPerks at all, and not using any coupons. I still get the charge. I find it hard to believe that no one is even the least bit interested in why they got this fuckery going on that no one is privy to. 🤷🏽♂️👀

Get in contact with the agency in your state that sent you the card. They would be your best resource.
